Many men invest in a custom-made suit at some point in their lives. The experience of having a tailor guide them through the process, taking measurements, helping them choose the fabric, colour and style is an exploration of personal expression.
 
My latest design deepens this experience further. A custom-made lapel pin paying tribute to a traditional boutonnière. My client chose the Heliconia for its unique shape and his personal connection with the Caribbean. 
 
The vertical arrangement of bracts suit the poised position of the lapel pin perfectly.
 
Each bract has been shaped through hammering and bending before being soldered to the stem.
